We all have heard about the industrial waste management programs and
their usefulness in keeping the environment clean. But little do we
care about elimination of the harmful materials from our own body.

Just imagine what happens if all the factories of the world keep on
with their industrial procedures without bothering about removing the
harmful by products! The effect will be similarly devastating if we do
not cleanse our internal system---which is also like a big factory---

The Basic Idea behind Detox

Toxins are extremely harmful materials that attack and affect the body
tissues. Detox, is the abbreviated term of detoxification, which is the
process of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body.

As the body performs its normal functions, several toxic chemicals are
produced. As for example, as protein breaks down, it gives birth to
ammonia and you will understand how dangerous ammonia is from the fact
that it is a chemical used in the pesticides production and found in
the pollutants like cigarette smoke.

Now detoxification is a process that triggers off a chemical
transformation in the toxins and turns them into comparatively less
harmful chemicals that can be easily drained from the body through
stool or urine.


What is Detox Diet?

A detox diet is precisely the combination of the foods that help to
keep our body free of several kinds of toxins that enter our body
through daily ingestion.


There are mainly three types of detox diets:
- There are many foods that don't let the toxins enter the body through
ingestion. The organic foods are these types of detox diet.
- The foods full of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants are also
examples of detox diet that boosts up body's natural ability of
detoxification.
- The foods those are good at drawing out and eliminating toxins as a
result of increased bowel movements and urination. The juice and high
fiber foods are the example of this kind of detox diet.

The toxins that are accumulated inside the body ultimately lead to
several kinds of illnesses as severe as drop in the efficiency of
immune function, hormonal imbalance, incomplete nutrition, and a
reduced level of metabolism. If you notice such disorders like lack
luster skin, fatigue or pain in several areas of body or headache, do
not ignore them, as they can be your body's signal to let you know that
it has accumulated enough waste material and it is time for their
elimination. Go for detox and soon you will rediscover yourself as a
person with renewed energy and better looks.
